Religiöse Weltablehnung und Positionierung zum "abweichenden Anderen". Theorie der positionalen Konfliktperformanz am Beispiel des streng religiösen Feldes

Diese Studie untersucht die Relationen zwischen der Virtuosen-Religiosität und der Ablehnung »der abweichenden Anderen«. Der Forschungsfokus liegt auf der diskursiven (Re-)Produktion der Subjektpositionen für »das Eigene« und »die Nicht-Eigenen« sowie auf der damit einhergehenden Konfliktdramaturgie im streng religiösen Feld. Zur Untersuchung dieser Relationen wird anhand der Analyse unterschiedlicher Forschungsperspektiven die Theorie der positionalen Konfliktperformanz entwickelt. Der konzeptionelle Analyserahmen dieser Theorie erfasst sowohl die Positionierungen religiöser Virtuosen zum »Nicht-Eigenen« als auch die dadurch ausgeführte positionale Konfliktperformanz. Zwei grundlegende Elemente werden dabei analysiert: Einerseits ist es die Struktur der Positionierungen selbst (bzw. Positionsstrukturierung, Relationsstrukturierung und Relationsbildungsart in den diskursiven Beiträgen der sozialen Akteure). Andererseits sind es diskursive Formationsregeln, welche die Reproduktion der Akteurspositionierungen bestimmen (bzw. Signifikationsregeln, Regeln zur Aussageproduktion und Dispositive). Die empirische Untersuchung erfolgt entsprechend diesem konzeptionellen Analyserahmen und zeigt folgende Relationen zwischen der Virtuosen-Religiosität und der Ablehnung »der Abweichenden«. Die religiös begründete Weltablehnung konstituiert die Virtuosen-Religiosität und stützt den moralischen Kode in den Mitgliedschaftsstrukturen einer streng religiösen Kollektivität. Der Letztere begründet die Exklusivität der internen und externen Grenzziehungen entlang den typisierten soziodemografischen Merkmalen des jeweiligen (streng religiösen) korporativen Akteurs. Eine besondere Rolle spielt in diesem Zusammenhang der Austragungsmodus der religiös begründeten Weltablehnung. Die vorliegende Untersuchung zeigt eine direkte Verbindung zwischen dem Modus der religiösen Weltablehnung und dem Modus der Ablehnung »der Abweichenden« mit Ingroup- und Outgroup-Positionen. Die Struktur der Positionierungsprozesse und die positionale Kon-fliktperformanz zur »Welt« und »den Abweichenden« unterschiedlicher sozialer Typen weisen weitgehende rhetorische Übereinstimmungen auf.

This study explores the relationship between religious virtuosity and denying of »different others«. It focuses on the discursive (re-)production of subject positions for »the own« and »the different« and on the related conflict dramaturgy in the strongly religious field. For this analysis I develop the research program »Theory of Positional Conflict Performance«. Its analytical tool targets both positioning processes of strongly religious actors to »the different« and their positional conflict performance. This research program consists of two basic elements: On the one hand it analyzes the structure of positioning processes including (a) structuring of positions, (b) structuring of relations and (c) the way of relating as enacted by social actors in their discursive contributions. On the other hand this research program analyzes the rules of the discursive formation which shape the reproduction of the actors‘ positioning processes: These are (a) the rules of signification, (b) the rules for the way of saying things and (c) dispositifs. The empirical study follows this conceptual framework of analysis and shows the following relationships between religious virtuosity and denying of »different others«. The phenomenon of religious virtuosity is based on the world-denying semantics which establish the moral code in membership structures of the strongly religious collectivity. This moral code forms an exclusive understanding of internal and external borders of a particular (strongly religious) corporative actor along his specific socio-demographic features. The mode of world-denying plays a special role in this context. The present study shows a direct connection between the mode of religious world-denying and the mode of denying »the different others« with ingroup- and outgroup-positions. The structure of positioning processes and the positional conflict performance towards »the world« and » different others« manifest a large rhetorical congruency.
