Abstract / Description
This work tries to summarize 25 years of work of the Saarbrücken research group. It will be argued that the longevity of psychic disturbances can be explainedat least partially through an unconcious micro affective process through wich patients lead their partners to confirm their unconscious assumptions about themselves and the world. In the second part the research investigating the hypotheses that successful therapists of different theoretical background can be caracterized that there are able to escape these unconcious affective induction processes. A taxonomy of failure of well trained psychotherapists and some thoughts for treatment technique and training will be outlined
